During a lobbying trip for PFAR to Washington DC, Michael Shaar met with Congressman Adam Schiff who represents California's 29th District, as well as representatives from Congressman David Dreir's office, and a breakfast with US Senator Diane Feinstein.

S.I.G. President, Michael Shaar, is inducted as President of the Montrose-Verdugo Chamber of Commerce by L.A. County Supervisor Michael Antonovich.

Walking For a Cure

Mike Shaar Co-Chaired the 5th Annual Relay For Life on May 14-15 at Crescenta Valley High School.  The fundraiser is a 24 hour community slumberparty to raise money to fight cancer.  This year we finally raised over $100,000 to go towards fighting cancer.  Contact our office to get involved or go to www.cancer.org.

LA Marathon News:

Mike Shaar (S.I.G. & REMAX) along with Matthew Matti (Broker of REMAX TRI-CITY) and Tom Kwak (Ramsey Schilling) finished the LA Marathon to raise money for Child Share.  The Glendale organization places foster children in permanent homes.

Montrose Oktoberfest

Members of S.I.G. have helped work the Montrose-Verdugo Chamber of Commerce Oktoberfest fundraiser for several years.  Proceeds from the event support the Chamber's community activities and scholarships.
